Nighttime Sleep

  • 20:00 - 07:00: (with 1 to 3 feedings as needed)
At 3 months, many babies still wake during the night for feedings or comfort. Typical nighttime sleep totals 10 to 12 hours, including wake-ups.

Total Sleep Breakdown

  • Nighttime Sleep: 10 to 12 hours
  • Daytime Naps: 3.5 to 4.5 hours (3 to 5 naps)
  • Total Sleep in 24 Hours: 14 to 16 hours

Notes

  • Wake Windows:

    • 1 to 1.5 hours in the morning.
    • 1.5 to 2 hours later in the day.
  • Flexibility:
This is just a guideline; adjust based on your baby’s specific cues (e.g., rubbing eyes, yawning, fussiness).

  • Nighttime Waking:
Many 3-month-olds wake to eat 1 to 3 times at night. Feed and settle them back to sleep.
